In search of the perfect shot, award-winning pet photographer Paul Walker will often spend days working with his canine charges.
‘I have done jobs with the most well-behaved dogs and the most badly-behaved, but love what I do so much it doesn’t bother me,’ he says.

The 38-year-old Yorkshireman, who now lives in Ayrshire, has been taking snaps of dogs and assorted other pets since he was five.
‘I was an only child growing up, so I think my mother bought a lot of pets because it was cheaper than having more children,’ he jokes.

And which celebrity dog would he most like to snap? Well, he’s written to the Queen offering to take a snap of the royal corgis. ‘She wrote a very polite thank you back, but is yet to take up my services.’
