The 40-year-old singer shared pictures of the as-yet unnamed newborn dog on social networking site, Twitter.
The Jack Russell pup, born to her dog ChaCha, is being called Da Baby for now, she said.
Carey wrote earlier: 'ChaCha just had her baby! Its a girl! Anybody want a beautiful Jack Russell puppy?!'
She and husband Nick Cannon revealed last month that their dog ChaCha was expecting - as rumours grew that Mariah was pregnant herself.
'I want [my dogs] to have puppies,' Carey told Barbara Walters of ChaCha and her other pup, JJ. 'They're going to be very cute.'
Carey's husband Nick Cannon, 29, recently addressed baby rumours on his US radio show.
He said:'I'm pretty sure that when my wife is ready to make any announcement it won't be to the media, to the public, first.
'She'll tell her family, she'll tell her friends, and then, you know, when she's ready to share with the rest of the world, who is her extended family and friends, then she'll let everybody know.'
