Ballet of the Shuba Inu: Adorable video captures dog's delicate dance while adjusting to his new shoes

Interpretive dance: With violin strings plucking in the background, this Shuba Inu gives a humourous yet graceful dance performance as he adjusts to his new snow shoes

Not all good things come easy, especially when it comes to breaking in new shoes with two left feet.
Titled Barkley's New Boots: A lesson in interpretive dance, the blonde dog is captured both humorously and gracefully coming to terms with his new snow shoes while insisting on keeping at least one paw off the floor.
While plucking occasionally both hind legs in the air at once – for only seconds at a time - the Shuba Inu appears to dance in near perfect rhythm to the supplied music of a strumming guitar, plucked violin strings and a resonating glockenspiel.

Adjustment: Barkley's new boots are said to be for the snow with his owner saying he immediately adjusted to them once stepping outside for a walk

Fuelled by what appear to be carrots thrown from behind the camera, the dog happily stretches and taps his legs like a ballerina while making his way to the thrown treats. The rule of the game, however: Keep at least one foot off the ground.
Barkley’s dance goes on for a near three full minutes, no doubt giving him a mini workout with his leg lifts mirroring the ones dancers do.
Eventually the dog appears to become a bit more comfortable and stationary with his new kicks, or tired, after some serious hopping and stretching around the livingroom.

Up, up, up! While munching on the next thrown item, Barkley stretches out that rear right leg again

Trick for treat: Waiting for the next treat to be thrown, Barkley cocks his head allowing all to await his next move

The owner claims it was just his first time wearing them while adding that the dog slips more inside the house on the wood floors than when wearing nothing at all.
'It only took one walk outside for him to get used to them,' his owner wrote with the video posted to YouTube in January.
The snow shoes are designed to protect the dog's feet from salt and chemical de-icers that are spread on the sidewalks in the wintertime, proving harmful to pet's paws as well as their bodies if ingested when licked.

Now what? Barkley chews happily with a seen gaping mouth as he greedily awaits his next treat and potential dance
