Catch: The dramatic video begins with one of the three fishermen filming his friends attempting to land a marlin which one of them had hooked onto
As one of the fastest fish on the planet, the marlin is incredibly difficult for keen fishermen to catch.
So you can image how thrilled one group of fishermen off Cairns, Australia, felt when they hooked a 600lb monster.
However, as these pictures show, they were not the only ones looking to land the fish.
Odd: The men quickly realised they had problems when they saw blood in the water and movement around the marlin
After hooking onto the beast while out at sea, the three men soon realised they had problems when a group of dangerous tiger sharks decided to feast on the fish.
One of the men on board the boat, who was filming the entire incident, quickly realised what had happened and warned his friends.
'Ahh, a shark has got him, bring him up Gaz, a shark has got him' he shouted.
His friends, on a lower deck attempting to reel in the fish, were initially dubious.
Scary: Suddenly, two massive tiger sharks emerged on the water's surface and appeared to be fighting over the fish
Concerned: The men began to panic as the two enormous sharks fighting over the fish headed towards the boat
'Are you kidding?' one asked.
But when his friend, enjoying a better view of the scene, replied: 'I can see the blood' and added 'the sharks have eaten him' they realised they could have some problems.
Things quickly took a turn for the worst as the two enormous sharks fighting over the fish rolled in the water and headed towards the boat.
The men on board the boat clearly begin to panic - and no wonder, tiger sharks are one of the most dangerous sharks to humans.
One of the men shouts 'Oh my God' as the huge sharks create a whirlpool in the sea.
Grim: Just as the incident appears to be getting out of control, one of the men suddenly begins to pull up the line. On the end, instead of a huge 600lb marlin, there was just the severed head of the fish
hocked: One of the men lifts up the severed head of the fish after they managed to get it onboard the boat
Attacked: The fish head lies on the boat after it was savaged by two dangerous tiger sharks
The man filming shouts to his friend: 'Be careful mate, be careful'
But just as the incident appears to be getting out of control, one of the men suddenly begins to pull up the line.
And on the end, instead of the huge 600lb marlin they were hoping to land, was just the severed head of the fish.
One of the men, clearly shocked, said: 'You are kidding me'
Its entire body had been eaten by the two monster sharks.
The tiger shark is capable of growing to more than 5 metres in length and is found in many tropical waters.
The marlin is one of the fastest fish in the sea, capable of reaching speeds of 68mph.
