Larking around: Willy appears to don a makeshift swimming cap at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro
Eight years ago, he was underweight, undernourished and unhappy.

The playful 25-year-old uses the toys in his personal 115,000-gallon pool to entertain onlookers at North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro.
In this shot, he pops one on his head as a makeshift swimming cap. Zoo spokesman Rod Hackney said: 'Willy's life is 100 per cent better than it used to be. We have given this captive bear something as close as possible to his natural environment.'
