But Gemma Arterton's husband Stefano Catelli must have been busy last night, as the 24-year-old actress arrived at the Hendrix: Still Reigning, Still Dreaming pop-up exhibition with an unusual date in the form of her pet dog.
Grinning as she posed with her four-legged friend on the red carpet, Gemma attempted to maintain control of the canine, who seemed more interested in getting inside than showing photographers its best side.
Gemma wore a white T-shirt dress with a black cardigan and knee-high boots for the event, which showcased urban artist Fin DAC's hand-finished screen print of the late
musician at the Red Bull Studios for one night only.
The Tamara Drewe star's appearance at the exhibition comes just a day after she complained she was treated as a 'piece of ass' by Hollywood.
