Snoopy, an exotic short-hair cat, is already a huge hit in his native China and this year has taken the rest of the world by storm.
He already has more than 275,000 followers on Weibo - China's version of Twitter - and a further 190,000 on Instagram.

Chef the retired military dog met a kitten for the first time and the Internet almost melted down with the cuteness of it all.
The adorable meeting was captured by his owner Louise Vaughan and uploaded onto YouTube last month and so far has garnered almost 600,000 views.
Responding to the interloper in the house as if the kitten is there to be investigated, Chef seems perplexed at first by the white, fluffy cat, but then proceeds to poke and prod until the two seem to form a friendship of sorts.

Relaxed: After a few minutes Chef comes to terms with the kitten and seems to sit and decide to let the kitten make its move

Not giving any quarter to Chef, who stands around three-feet tall at the shoulder, the tiny kitten does not run away or budge when the giant military dog sniffs and nuzzles the cat.
While the two play a game of hide and seek around the room, Louise seems to keep a close eye on the meeting while her two new friends check each other out.

Queen of the jungle: Daily the Persian has been turned into a little lion - and it has even affected her personality

Little Daisy the cat is proof that it is not about size but about the attitude as she prowls the kitchen floor thinking she is the king of the jungle.
The 18-month-old mini lion has taken on the personality of the much larger predator after her owners were forced to shave her.
The long-tail Persian has ended up with an impressive as a result of a grooming problem and the vet’s scissors.

According to her owners, since being shaved by the vet to rid her of her tangled hair, Daisy has even started to take on the personality of a young lion - by pouncing on human visitors as well as fellow cats.
Australian owner, Ben Torode, 36, lives in Tokyo, Japan with his wife Miki, 32.

On the prowl: After a trip to the vet, Daisy came home with a mane, a pom-pom tail and fluffy feet

Ben, who works as a translator, explained the story behind Daisy's transformation from a typical Persian cat to one that is more on the wild side.
‘Daisy really embraced her look after a few days,’ said Ben. ‘The lion cut has rekindled the popularity of her kitten days.'

‘It's been a couple of months now and her hair is growing back steadily. Another few months and she'll be back to normal and ready for winter.’

What could be cuter than a tiny, wee kitten dressed up as a button mushroom?
Nothing of course - and when you realize that this adorable creature isn't just wearing the outfit for the 'awww' factor, but for her own good, it might just make you lose your cool.
Wasabi-chan, the adorable Japanese rescue kitten, was attacked and seriously injured by a crow who fractured her jaw and ripped her tongue in two.

Taken in by her kind owner, who goes by the Twitter handle @jessiepon, Wasabi-chan's recovery was hampered by the fact that she wouldn't take to feeding through a tube.
Thinking outside the box, her rescuer realized that sticking her in cute crocheted costumes would be a fun and sensible way to stop her removing the tube from her mouth.

Where It All Began: Found on June 2nd seriously injured after a crow attack - a kindly passerby picked Wasabi-chan up and took her to the vet - who told her that the kitten needed to be fed by a tube

'She was attacked by a crow,’ explained Reddit user DopeSk1llz. ‘Her top jaw was fractured, a hole in her throat, tongue was ripped, and part of gum was eaten.
‘The rescuer was feeding her with a tube which Wasabi-chan hates, thus created this crochet to hold her down while feeding.'

Not a Big Fan for Such a Small Kitten: Wasabi-chan did not like being fed in this manner much and her arms had to be held in place

Once the pictures of Wasabi-chan were picked up by social media in Japan, the cute ball of fluff snapped up almost 50,000 fans - all wanting to hear how her recovery was going.
Updating Twitter and Instagram daily to update everyone as to her progress, @jessiepon has added to Wasabi-chan's wardrobe of outfits, all made by her grandmother.

Improving: The crocheted costumes allowed feeding time to go unhindered and Wasabi-chan steadily increased in weight and health

Now Wasabi-chan has moved off the feeding tube and is eating on her own and is a firm member of the household

Making Friends: The little kitten is now well enough to explore her surroundings and get to know her room-mates

Describing the moment she found Wasabi-chan on June 2nd, @jessiepon described the harrowing scene.
'I heard a horrible cry of a kitten, getting attacked by crows in front of my house. I immediately rescued her and brought her to the vet. Crows have eaten inside of the kitten’s mouth, to the point she can’t drink milk on her own.'
By the end of the month and a few cute costumes later, Wasabi-chan was well enough to eat by herself and join the family.

Prison staff found themselves lumbered with some extra inmates after a cat broke in to a high security prison van to give birth to six kittens.
Wardens discovered the adorable cats when they opened the rear doors of the van parked inside Parc Prison in Bridgend, South Wales.
They immediately called an animal centre to come and relieve the young kittens from their brief stretch behind bars.

But their frightened mother ran off before she could be caught - and left the kittens behind. They were bottle-fed every two hours and all were doing well today.

Centre manager Sue Dobbs, 46, said: 'It’s the first time we’ve rescued a cat from inside the walls of a well-guarded prison.
'We don’t know how the mother cat got in there - maybe inside the van.
'When staff opened the door at 8am they saw the cat and her six kittens lying there.

Adorable: It is still a mystery how the cat got in to the high security van to give birth to her kittens

'The temptation was to call them after notorious villains - but we decided to name them after more positive criminal-busting legends.'
It is thought that the cats were only in the van for one night as it is used daily.
The mother cat was later captured at the Parc Prison which houses 1200 men and young offenders.

Staff were concerned she would reject her kittens as they had been bottle fed and handled by humans.
But they solved the problem by smearing the kittens with cat food to disguise the human smell.
She has been named Agatha and was today back happily mothering her six kittens.
They will spend the next eight weeks at the cat rescue centre before being microchipped and re-homed.

The headpiece for felines conveniently fits around a cat's head and gives it a thick mane of golden hair with a pair of ears on top.
The handmade lion hats come in a variety of colours and can be bought in golden brown, black, grey, ivory and husky. Velcro is used so they can be easily attached underneath the chin.

Your cat may already think it is the king or queen of the home but why not give them a mane of hair to transform them into a lion

Designer Yumiko Landers, from Seattle, Washington, U.S. explained how she came up with the idea.
The 39-year-old said: 'Every cat we've ever known believes they're the master of their domain.
'So I thought there's no better way to represent that by making them look like a true lion.
'The idea of hats for cats came from my sewing group and the theme of the week was cats and dogs.
'I thought it would be great to make a long-eared dog hat for my cat, but it didn't turn out as expected and looked more like a pair of bunny ears.

'A few friends saw the photos of the hat and asked if I could make bunny ears for their cats. That was the beginnings of hats for cats.'
