Picture perfect pooch: Britain's Got Talent winner Pudsey releases his 2013 calendar

By J J ANISIOBI

Canine cool: Pudsey has released his official 2013 calender and seems to be living a pretty relaxed life judging from the pictures

With his amazing routines wowing both the audience and judges, Pudsey easily won Britain's Got Talent 2012.
Now, the cute entertaining canine is set to send his fans barking mad with his brand new 2013 calendar.
The little white terrier shows a different side to his personality as the calendar only features one image of him actually doing tricks.

Drinks are on him: The cute pooch was pictured ready for a night out down the pub with his bow tie on

Having made his name and gained international fame through his difficult routines, Pudsey can be seen mostly relaxing in the new calendar.
In one shot he is suited and booted with a black bow-tie on as he props himself up at a pub bar.
Then in another photograph he can be seen preparing to have a bubble bath with his trainer and owner Ashleigh Butler.

Soaking up the spoils: Pudsey and his owner/trainer Ashleigh Butler prepared to take a bubble bath together

Mr December: Pudsey doesn't seem to do a lot of work these days and mostly relaxes

Pudsey really is living the life of luxury now and the spoils of his superstar lifestyle are all on display in the calendar.
He gets to cross the road with a long slender legged female and spends Christmas in his large stately home, perched in his comfortable luxury chair.
The only bit of work the prize pooch seems to do is a leisurely dance work out in his spacious studio.
If his calendar fails to keep him in the lap of luxury, he at least has a plan b to fall back on.

Back to his old tricks: Pudsey did begin to break a sweat as he worked out in his dance studio

Pudsey has written and published his own book called Pudsey: My Autobidography.
Ashleigh, 17, said: 'The Autobidography is more about what happened before Britain’s Got Talent, like his journey from when he was a puppy to how he always wanted to dance.
'I think Pudsey did a good job in writing his Autobidography. Not only can he dance - he can sing, he can act, he can write books now.

'I think there’s a bit of everything in there for everyone. It’s humorous, it’s cute. It has its sad moments as well.'

Puppy love: Rachel Zoe's son Skyler gets more than he bargains for on an outing in Beverly Hills

By VIRGINIA SKEELS

Dog Day Afternoon: Rachel Zoe crouches down with son Skyler as they pet a small dog in Beverly Hills today

Some children are scared by their first encounters with dogs, while others are immediately delighted.
Rachel Zoe's 17-month-old son Skyler fell squarely into the latter camp yesterday, when he and his parents stopped to pet a couple of dogs in Beverly Hills.
Watched over closely by his mother, the toddler smiled as he eagerly patted two dogs, which were small enough not to intimidate the tot.
Skyler was momentarily caught off guard when one of the puppies jumped up to lick him, scrunching up his face and turning away in surprise.

Puppy love: Rachel shows her excited son how to pat the dogs ... and one of the dogs jumps up to lick him

But the toddler continued to laugh and pat the puppies after he recovered from the extra dose of enthusiasm from one of the dogs.
Crouching down beside her son and joining in the puppy love, Zoe wore a long grey sleeveless T-shirt over boot-cut jeans.
The 40-year-old stylist to the stars rounded out her outfit with a wide-brimmed black hat, large dark sunglasses, black platform shoes and a patent leather tote.
Skyler, meanwhile, wore cute denim overalls over a white sleeveless T-shirt.
And puppies weren't the only new friends the toddler was making. At one point he also stopped to exchange pleasantries with a police officer.

Friends in high places: Skyler exchanges a few pleasantries with a police officer

After all the excitement was over, Rachel sat with Skyler and husband Roger Berman, stopping to take a break on a sidewalk window front.
The stylist-turned-designer once told InStyle magazine that her son is her favourite person to style because he has 'no opinion' on the hundreds of designer outfits she puts on him, unlike her clientele of A-list divas.
'Every minute I have to buy things for my son,' the notoriously skinny fashionista said. 'It is too much fun. It is like dressing a live doll. He has no opinion.'

Clothes horse: Rachel wore a grey sleeveless T-shirt over boot-cut jeans, a wide-brimmed hat and dark shades

Mother and son were also spotted out yesterday in West Hollywood.
Skyler was seen wriggling in his mothers arms, as she struggled to hold on to him.
At one point she could be seen whispering in his ear, perhaps in a bid to sooth her excitable son.

Family unit: Roger Berman sits with his son Skyler and wife Rachel

The stylist to the stars was clad in a flowing black dress for her outing while Skyler was dressed in a striped onesie.
Rachel didn't bother trying to make him wear a hat - recent attempts have seen him throw it off as he proved quite the unwilling model.
Over the weekend Zoe took her son out shopping, trying on three different trilby hats on her little man.

Down boy! Peaches Geldof and fiancé Thomas Cohen apologise after their dog gets into a fight in the park (and baby Astala sleeps through it all)

By LUCY BUCKLAND

No puppy love lost! Peaches tries to stop Parpy from getting his claws into a passing pet, whose owner seems to find the whole situation hilarious

They are known for their sense of zen, a chilled out couple who make bringing up a baby look like a walk in the park.
But unfortunately it seems Peaches Geldof and fiancé Thomas Cohen's dog isn't as relaxed as them.
Their cute little pup Parpy got into a fracas with another pet pooch in the park after trying to get friendly with the passing pet.
Although nothing could spoil the adorable family's day out in London yesterday and 23-year-old Peaches looked relaxed as she strolled alongside Cohen in tight black jeans with a white star adorned scarf and in typical mummy-style, a huge black nappy bag.

Smile! Peaches grins as Thomas shows off his moody side as they stroll about the park

While Cohen opted for a denim cap to match his baggy jeans with some fetching Jesus style sandals, perhaps starting to look more like an embarrassing dad than ever.
As the pets fought like dog and dog Peaches look like she was trying to apologise to the owner while her other half simply turned away from the fracas.

The calm before the storm: Peaches and Thomas look every inch the happy mum and dad as they take a quick walk around the park

Despite Parpy getting into all sorts of scraps he is a significant part of the Geldof-Cohen family with Peaches continually posting loveable snaps of both him and baby son Astala.
But far from thinking all these two do is go on trips to the park, last week Peaches and her fiancé Thomas went on a 'rare' night out together.
The young parents took a trip to one of Gordon Ramsay's London restaurants and Peaches was clearly looking forward to doing so.

Fight night: Parpy looks like he has got himself into a little trouble in the park

Takes after his parents: Astala is no trouble as he just snoozes while Peaches and Thomas watch the fracas enfold

Going on a rare date night tonight with Tom to Gordon Ramsey's 3 Michelin starred restaurant! So excited! Baby with my old nanny @niceneen x' she tweeted.
The blonde star had certainly made an effort for their night out and showed off her slender figure in a black and green floral print maxi dress.
She teamed the slinky garment with a pair of black peep-toe wedges and a smart black blazer as she arrived hand-in-hand with Tom.

Having a wild time! Katie Holmes looks delighted as she takes Suri to feed giraffes at the zoo

By LEAH SIMPSON

Delighted: Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise fed giraffes at the Bronx Zoo n New York City today

Her love life could quite possibly be back on after she was pictured following a dinner date with a mystery man last night.
And Katie Holmes still appeared to be beaming today she took her daughter Suri Cruise on a trip to the Bronx Zoo.
The girls were seen feeding the giraffes along with other visitors to the New York City attraction and while the treat was probably for her child with Tom Cruise, Katie seemed the most thrilled.

Capturing the moment: The actress took pictures of her six-year-old girl feeding giraffes

The actress grinned with her tongue between her teeth as she extended branches to the animals, which can often be found on safari expeditions.
While her six-year-old little girl could be seen looking very focused on the task at hand, Holmes made sure to snap away at the precious moments on her phone, in between gasping with delight.
The brunette pulled her hair back in a messy ponytail and donned a black and white striped tank top with blue jeans for the outing.

Girls day: Katie wore a casual black and white striped top and jeans

After finalising her divorce from Suri’s actor father earlier this month, Holmes’ life just seems to be going from strength to strength.
She recently landed a role on the Broadway production Dead Accountants and last night she was accompanied by a male friend for a nice meal in the Big Apple.
Although she has been making the most of her time with Suri recently, taking her on late night ice cream trips as well as fun children’s activities during the day, Katie enjoyed some adult time.

Precious moment: Holmes has been making the most of her time with Suri around the time of her splitting with Tom Cruise

Family fun: Katie looked even more impressed than Suri did with the majestic creatures

She got dressed up and left the eatery looking jolly, a feeling that she can’t seem to shake off it seems.
Despite her personal and career successes, it would appear that Katie has decided to lie relatively low for the moment and take advantage of simple pleasures.
She has cancelled what would have been her first official public appearance since her split, at tonight's Dizzy Feet Foundation gala.

Happy: Tom Cruise also seemed in good spirits when he was spotted leaving a Malibu eatery with a huge smile on his face

Love interest? Holmes was all smiles after having a dinner date with a mystery male at Nomad in NYC last night

Puppy love! While her fiance's away, Miley Cyrus turns to her four-legged friend for company

By LINDA MASSARELLA

Look how cute! Miley Cyrus picked up Ziggy as a pup in January and Saturday tweeted an updated photo, saying, 'Pool day wiff ziggy piggy'

With fiance Liam Hemsworth thousands of miles away filming a flick in New York City, Miley Cyrus has already found another warm body to cuddle up with.
But Liam needn't worry, Miley's arms are being wrapped around a four-legged creature with a serious underbite.
The actress posted photos of her and pooch Ziggy on Twitter over the weekend.
'Pool day wiff ziggy piggy,' a playful Miley wrote on Saturday, posting a photo of her hugging pet bulldog, Ziggy.
The rescue pooch, who has an intelligent gaze over her wrinkly snout, was front and centre in the photo.

Growing family: Ziggy has grown since Miley posted this photo of her, Liam, and the pooch on June 22

The 19-year-old, wearing what appeared to be a bathing suit underneath a loose tank top, held her tight and kissed her thick neck.
The photo appeared to have been taken in the singer's backyard.
Meanwhile, E! Online is reporting Miley may be in talks to replace Jennifer Lopez as a judge on American Idol.
Lopez does not want to return for the next season, the website reports, and producers are looking at replacements, including Miley and Katy Perry.
Since bringing Ziggy home from a shelter in January, the Hannah Montana star has often spoke of her affection for the rapidly growing puppy, a birthday present for Hemsworth.

'I love this girl': Miley tweeted another sweet picture on March 1

Two weeks earlier, she posted a family photo of the trio cuddling.
"Got Liam THE best bday pressie ever!" the singer shared on Twitter on Friday, Jan. 13th when Hemsworth turned 22.
A few days later, Cyrus spilled the beans on her surprise gift for her man. The couple has at least two other dogs.

They call it puppy love! Supermodel Janice Dickinson puckers up to her beloved pet bulldog Lloyd for a sloppy kiss

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Puppy love: Janice Dickinson puckered up to her beloved pet bulldog Lloyd today as they went for a stroll in Malibu

She fell in love with him back in September 2010 when she spied him at a Sherman Oaks pet store.
And it seems the bond between Janice Dickinson and her pet bulldog Lloyd is stronger than ever.
The 57-year-old self-proclaimed world's first supermodel planted a big sloppy kiss on the pooch's mouth as they went for a Fourth Of July stroll today.
Crouching down to her beloved canine, Janice puckered her famous supermodel lips for the display of affection.
And in return, Lloyd gave her a sloppy lick.
During the outing Janice paraded her famous toned pins in a pair of denim hotpants.

Best of friends: Janice fell for her pooch back in 2010 when she purchased him from a Sherman Oaks pet store when he was just a puppy

She paired the tiny shorts with a grey T-shirt and a hoodie.
And it appears that the mother-of-two had some aquatic activities planned for the day, as a bikini was seen peeking from behind her top.
Wearing minimal make-up, Janice had slipped on a pair of bright pink sunglasses.
And it seems she was in the mood for striking a pose as she gave the camera some love.

Parading her pins: During the outing Janice paraded her famous toned pins in a pair of denim hot pants

Janice purchased her pet bulldog in 2010 after instantly falling for the white and beige pup.
At a Sherman Oaks pet store, Janice had spent quite some time in the store checking out the various different pets but her heart was taken by the little bulldog.
Meanwhile, the former America's Next Top Model judge recently hit the headlines for falling behind with her rent.

Beach stroll: Later in the day Janice took Lloyd to the beach after having lunch at a friend's house

The stressful experience left her with panic attacks, with the three-times married star saying: 'Yes, I was late with my rent and I was really upset... I'm not being evicted... I was having a little banter about some plumbing issues and the heating... It is now fixed... My rent's been fixed.'
Talking to The Insider, she explained her two children Nathan, 25, and Savannah, 18, became upset over reading about her alleged eviction.
She added: 'I wish I wasn't famous. I wish I would go along anonymously.

Will Pudsey be top dog tonight? MARIANNE POWER collars Britain's Got Talent's dancing pooch ahead of final rehearsal

By MARIANNE POWER

Yabba dabba dog! Pudsey shows off his Flintstones-inspired routine with trainer Ashleigh Butler and Marianne Power

Pudsey, the dancing pooch, is having something of a diva moment. He is being expected to perform under circumstances that are, quite frankly, not acceptable to a star of his talent and standing.
The problems are two-fold. First, he is being asked to run across wet grass, which means getting his perfect paws wet. And Pudsey really doesn’t like that.
‘He hates wet grass. Usually we practise on concrete or indoors,’ smiles his besotted owner and dance partner, 17-year-old Ashleigh Butler, who is trying to motivate him with chunks of cheddar cheese (his favourite snack, along with ham sandwiches, pasta and steak).
The second issue is that he is working with a rank amateur: me.
The canine superstar has already patiently shown me his ability to walk like a human, pirouette better than Darcey Bussell and wiggle his bottom in a way that would make Beyoncé jealous.

While all her school friends are partying or with boyfriends, Ashleigh's world revolves around Pudsey. He was given to her as a birthday present when she was 11

He has even leaned on my back and nestled his head next to mine. But now he’s had enough.
I am kneeling down, holding out my arms to form a circle, waiting for the little bundle of white fluff to leap through them. This is one of his signature dance moves, one he does with doggie abandon on stage with Ashleigh. But he’s not playing ball with me.
Pudsey takes a half-hearted run up, then ducks under my arms rather than through them. We try again, and this time he goes over the top.
A third time, he plants his paws in the ground and barks, casting us a look that says: ‘That’s your lot!’

'People come up to us on the street and say: "Ah! It's Pudsey," and ask for a picture. We've had loads of people asking us to do public appearances at schools and clubs,' said Ashleigh

‘Pudsey has his own mind. If he doesn’t want to do something, he can just walk away as if to say: “I don’t feel like doing it today,” ’ says Ashleigh, cuddling him.
‘I would never make him do anything he doesn’t want to do.’
Are you sure he isn’t just having a celebrity hissy fit? Letting fame go to his head?
‘I’d say he could turn into a bit of diva,’ Ashleigh jokes. ‘I caught him looking at himself in a lift mirror the other day as if to say: “Who’s that handsome guy?” He knows something big is going on.’

'Pudsey has his own mind. If he doesn't want to do something, he can just walk away as if to say: "I don't feel like doing it today,' said Ashleigh

And indeed it is. Tonight, Ashleigh and Pudsey will be one of 11 acts competing in the live final of Britain’s Got Talent for the chance to perform in front of the Queen and win £500,000.
It’s safe to say Ashleigh and Pudsey are one of the favourites to win. Simon Cowell fell in love with the act during their first audition — a dance to the Flintstones soundtrack.
‘This is what I’ve been waiting for all my life,’ he declared.

'Just teaching him (Pudsey) to do his two-legged walk took three years. You've got to constantly practise, but that's his best trick - he loves doing it. Sometimes he thinks he is human,' said Ashleigh

Then, in the semi-final, David Walliams compared them to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and to Torvill and Dean, such was their chemistry and timing during the 1920s routine.
While the show has seen its fair share of performing dogs (remember Buddy the opera-singing pooch last year and guitar-playing dog Laika in 2010?), Pudsey’s talent is in a different league — and the judges are smitten.
‘Last week Simon came backstage looking for a cuddle from Pudsey, and David came to the trailer to have his picture taken with him’, says Ashleigh.
‘But Pudsey’s like: “Whatever!” He isn’t starstruck.’
As for the rest of us — we’ve all gone potty for Pudsey, too.

Forget Brad and George... the real star of the Oscars is Uggie the dog

By BAZ BAMIGBOYE

In demand: Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye interviews Uggie The Jack Russell Terrier, and star of the Silent film The Artist as the pooch gets ready for the Oscars

He will not win an Oscar but the biggest star of this year’s Academy Awards is Uggie the dog.
The four-legged star of pre-Oscar favourite film The Artist was in as much demand as his human counterparts before last night’s glittering ceremony.
The 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier was the toast of Tinseltown as Hollywood prepared for its biggest night of the year.

Pampered: Uggie relaxes at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles before his big night

‘Uggie has a schedule to rival any star in this town,’ noted Cindi Berger, chairman and CEO of PMK BNC public relations, a company which represents a bevy of major stars.
One network show was desperate to get hold of Uggie — and completely uninterested in his two-legged co-stars.

Smart: Uggie looks every inch the Hollywood star as he prepared for one of the biggest nights of his life. His pre-Oscars schedule was said to be just as hectic as major actors and actresses

Harvey Weinstein, who acquired The Artist for distribution long before its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, called Uggie his ‘secret weapon’.
‘He’s up there with the big ones,’ Weinstein declared as Uggie turned up at Weinstein’s pre-Oscar bash at the swanky West Hollywood club Soho House on Saturday night.
The popular pooch sported a leather collar with an 18 carat yellow gold bone inscribed with his name, which had been specially designed for him by Chopard the jewelers.

Big role: Berenice Bejo as Peppy Miller and Uggie the Jack Russell dog, in The Artist

He was introduced to the likes of Meryl Streep and crooner Tony Bennett.
Then yesterday the pooch arrived at the fabled Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard to be primped and pampered for Oscar night although he was still deciding what Oscar night after-parties to attend.
He was accompanied by his entourage: owner and trainer Omar Von Muller; grooming consultant Michelle Day; and executive Katie Doyle from the LA office of Weinstein Co, who was ‘holding his hand’. Or paw.
First off, Uggie was given a shampoo, wash and brush. Ms Day then gave him a blow dry.
After that, he had his nails buffed. Then he lay on a bed at the Chateau and watched early arrivals on the red carpet.

Glamour: George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) and Peppy Miller (Berenice Bejol) in the pre-Oscar favourite film The Artist

After the Oscars are over, he’ll just do the occasional commercial, but no more films.
He doesn’t get out of doggie basket for less £500 an hour and is now a spokesdog for a Nintendo 3DS pet-related game, despite it being recently revealed that he suffers from a neurological disorder

'Catch of the day!': Katy Perry bonds with The Artist's star puppy as she wears VERY demure in a silver shift for pre-Oscars bash

By JADE WATKINS

Friendly companion: The 27-year-old singer cuddled up to Uggie, the puppy star of The Artist

She is currently single following her split with husband Russell Brand this year.
But it seems that Katy Perry has already found a new companion.
The 27-year-old singer cuddled up to Uggie, the puppy star of The Artist, as she attended the Weinstein Company party at the exclusive Soho House last night.

Demure: Katy slipped her curves into a sophisticated embroidered silver shift dress for the Weinstein Company party at Soho House last night

The Teenage Dream singer tweeted a picture of herself giving the star canine a snuggle. 'Catch of the day! Uggie from "The Artist" (not the guy in the background!)' she wrote on her Twitter page along with the cute snap.
While she is known for her racy attire onstage and sometimes on the red-carpet, the singer wore her most conservative outfit yet at last night's event.
The blue-haired star slipped her curves into a sophisticated embroidered silver shift dress, which she paired with some acid yellow satin heels.

Her little bit of ruff! Lucy Mecklenburgh takes puppy Bentley for walkies Essex style (by carrying him)

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Settling in: Lucy Meckleburgh's puppy looks like he is settling in very well as this Twitter picture shows

Perfecting the Essex trout pout is tough, especially if you find yourself carrying a small puppy wearing a red jumper.
But for Lucy Mecklenburgh her pet Bentley is more than just a dog, he is the ultimate promise of fidelity from boyfriend Mario Falcone.
Which is probably why the reality star felt she had to smile broadly as she was spotted taking Bentley for a walk.

Ruff and ready: Bentley perfects his pout with Lucy Mecklenburgh as they leave her boutique in Essex

In fact, it was less walkies and more carries for Bentley, who it seems is too posh put his paws on the pavement this afternoon.
But Lucy, 20, certainly didn't mind as she looked pleased as punch to be carrying her new best friend out of her boutique in Essex.
Mario and Lucy appear to be steaming ahead in their reconciled relationship despite promising to take it slow.

Puppy love: Lucy and Bentley both look to the floor as they are spotted out in Brentwood

Mario surprised his girlfriend with a brand new puppy which he wanted to name Max.
But when Lucy said that she preferred the name Bentley, he offered an exchange. 'If you want to call him Bentley you have to give me sex,' he said. 'So either you call him Bentley and I get sexy time, or call him Max and you get your three dates and romance.'
Lucy was quick to let go of her resolve, replying: 'Bentley it is.'

Surprise! Despite promising to take their reconciled relationship slowly, Mario surprised girlfriend Lucy with a new puppy

Max or Bentley? In exchange for getting to choose the new pet's name, Lucy had to let go of her 'three date rule' before sleeping with Mario again

Perhaps that's why the brunette was grinning as she clutched Bentley, wearing a pretty floral dress.
It seems her small puppy it is settling in well, although the shop owner said the evenings have been 'interesting'.
She wrote on Twitter: 'Morning !! that was an interesting night sleep with bentley !!! Last day of filming ! Party time!!!'

Must be his animal magnetism... Uggie, the canine star of The Artist, adds to the film's growing awards haul

By MARCUS BARNES

It's a dog's life: Uggie with Missi Pyle, James Cromwell and an unidentified woman at the first annual Golden Collar Awards held at The Century Plaza Hyatt Regency Hotel in Century City, California

So far it's been the year's big awards winner, so much so in fact that even the animal star of The Artist has picked up a gong.
Uggie the dog, who appears as Jean Dujardin's pet in the movie, picked up the animal equivalent of an Oscar at the prestigious Golden Collars.
The 10-year-old pooch was accompanied by co-star James Cromwell (who plays Clifton in the film) as he picked up the award for Best Dog in a Theatrical Film.

Man's best friend: The pooch plays Jean Dujardin's pet in award-winning film The Artist

Uggie was smartly dressed in a cute doggy outfit that mimicked a shirt and bow tie.
The little dog looked excited to be at the awards ceremony, where he was also accompanied by his owner and trainer Omar Von Muller.
Accepting the award on behalf of Uggie, Mr Von Muller said the Jack Russell terrier, who stole hearts in the silent film that’s up for 10 Academy Awards, is a 'great performer, but he’s also a great family member.'
'He sleeps with us,' Von Muller added.

Award-winning paw-formance: A campaign has been started to get Uggie an Oscar for his role in The Artist

The Golden Collar Awards, dreamed up by Alan Siskind of the website dognewsdaily.com, drew other stars of The Artist, including Cromwell and Missi Pyle.
'I’m delighted to be here because I owe my career to a pig,' said Cromwell, who played the farmer in Babe.
Elizabeth Snead, an entertainment journalist who served as a Golden Collar judge, said the dog-awards show is more exciting than the Oscars.
'She said: Everybody identifies with the dogs. And it makes it more accessible for humans who don’t really care about awards season'

Paws for thought: Uggie and Dash perform for the audience at the Golden Collar awards show

The campaign was launched in December last year, and has been supported by James Cromwell and, apparently, members of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
However, BAFTA responded to the campaign by issuing the following statement: 'Regretfully, we must advise that as he is not a human being and as his unique motivation as an actor was sausages, Uggie is not qualified to compete for the Bafta in this category.'

The collar of money: Uggie performs one of his tricks after picking up the Best Dog in a Theatrical Film award

He did, however, with the Palm Dog Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
Sadly Uggie will retire to his bed after the Oscars, due to a mystery neurological illness that has baffled experts and cost Mr Von Muller thousands of dollars in vets' bills.
He revealed: 'It comes and goes and, ironically, it is worse when he's relaxed.
'When we were filming you could hardly notice it. It is a shame this has happened when he is getting the biggest success of his career, but we feel the best thing to do is to retire him after the Oscars.'
